Our Courses

Lectures

All the lecturers for the nursing courses trained teachers, Registered Nurses and/or certified in Allied Health Care Level III and above.   The lecturers some courses are from external to the facility and are expertise in their professions (e.g. Computer Studies).

Lectures are presented in the form of direct teaching, handouts, self directed learning, group and individual presentations, discussion, role play, demonstration/return demonstration and assignments, to name a few.  Lectures are presented in modules. Each having specific objectives and criteria for completion. Most of the lectures will be from the internal training manual provided by the school. The external certification courses are also aligned with the key performance objectives for those organization.

All students must undertake a certain number of practical sessions for each course to get the hands-on; experience they need. This is done in several healthcare facilities locally. The QCTI is now in the process of collaborating with an overseas agency to facilitate some overseas practicum.
