Assessment & Certification
Every programme ends with a credential employers recognise, at home and overseas.
60% / 50%
pass marks for internal courses and external exams
How you are assessed
Participants are given individual and group assignments each semester. Monthly tests are given, and internal examinations are held on completion of each module and at the end of the training programme. Each participant is given prior notice.
The external examination is given at the end of the course by the external examining body. The date of the external exam is set by the examining body or bodies.
Internal verification
Each examination is verified by the school's internal verifier. Every assessment is reviewed, dual marked and signed to eliminate perceived bias.
Pass marks and re-sits
Participants are expected to attain a minimum average of 60% for internal courses and 50% for external examinations.
Students who have a failing grade at the end of the semester may re-sit the end of semester exam only once. If they continue to fail, they are asked to repeat the semester.
No student is allowed to graduate if they are failing the course.
Certification
On successful completion, participants are awarded a certificate from the institution for each course of study and a certificate from the external examining body. Other certificates are provided for short courses or workshops that a student takes part in during their time at the school. Certification includes:
- Internal certificate after successful completion
- Allied Health Level II and Level III
- Accreditation certificate, provided for overseas employment as the need arises
- Allied Health certification from the external body
- First aid certification, both internally and externally
- Customer service certification, both internally and externally
